Of a similar nature is John's vision in Revelation of the conflict to be waged during this NEW AGE to establish this NEW ORDER, between the Red horseman and White horseman.
Every citizen of America should be awakened to the fight now being waged by foreign ideologies. These ideas derived exclusively from sensations are transplanted on this "Land Overshadowed with Wings" from decadent nations. Whether knowingly or unconsciously, the promulgators of these decadent ideologies plan to destroy - pull those who are more advanced down to their level - as quickly and completely as possible everything that the Divinely-guided founding fathers of this great nation envisioned for the new country and brought into manifestation within the short period of less than two centuries.
There can be no other conclusion but that the world is now in the midst of a Battle o f Armageddon between the GOOD and EVIL Forces Called the WHITE AND RED HORSEMEN by John in the Apocalypse. The henchmen of the Evil forces may take on any other color but WHITE and are now rapidly sowing the "seed" that will turn the "wheat" into "chaff," to be the more readily destroyed. The WHITE horsemen are those who have awakened to this grave danger and are ever more vigorously sowing the "wheat" which alone can save them and this new "Order" in the "Land Overshadowed with Wings."
The Church o f Illumination, non-political and non-sectarian, accepts a person for what they are and not for what they professes to be. This Church seeks only to teach the Law, and has been doing this for the past fifty years, so that men may learn how to become the "wheat," the followers of the White horseman.
It teaches no creed. It demands no profession of faith. It does not ask its adherents to accept anything it teaches. Its efforts are to INTERPRET THE DIVINE LAW, so that those applying it in their activities will reap the material as well as the Spiritual benefits.
It is adamant in its inculcations that whatever a person thinks, desires, feels and does, affects them not only materially, BUT SPIRITUALLY AS WELL, and whatever they do toward their SPIRITUAL WELFARE EQUALLY BENEFITS them MATERIALLY.
It teaches as truth uncontradictable, because sane and reasonable, and applicable in every day activities, certain precepts, all of them founded on the experience of those who in the past made them manifest and thereby Immortalized themselves. Moreover, that BEGINNING Now, each one must choose whether they will be a sower of "wheat" or of "chaff," and reap accordingly. No ONE CAN ESCAPE MAKING THE DECISION, OR THE REAPING.
OUR INESCAPABLE DUTY
THE SOUL, i.e., the Immortal Spark of God came to earth for but one purpose: That it might gain knowledge BY EXPERIENCE. In gaining knowledge of both good and evil it became involved with all that is carnal and thus brought evil upon itself.
This evil, though offering knowledge to the Soul, denudes it of its Divinity. This is an indebtedness from which it must free itself by desire and effort, and in doing so, return to its pristine purity, in addition to having obtained knowledge of good and evil. As a result of overcoming evil in all its forms, paying its indebtedness as all honest individuals would, the SOUL BECOMES, during the process, a white horseman and a Son or Daughter of God.
REINCARNATION
The Church o f Illumination maintains that this is the LAW OF JUSTICE. It offers every Soul the opportunity, time and again, to free itself of its accumulated evils. The Church of Illumination does not demand that its adherents accept Reincarnation as a fact.
To illustrate by comparison: The child attends school. Ordinarily it advances each school year from grade to grade. However, there are those children who fail to pass the examination. These are not "cast out" forever with no further chance to advance or redeem themselves. Imperfect as man is, he has at least some compassion.
The child that failed is permitted to return another school year and to repeat this process until he finally succeeds or utterly fails. Each incarnation or separate life on earth is a "school year" for the Soul. If a person fails in fulfilling his or her obligation, either by weakness or lack of effort, they will be given another opportunity to correct their shortcomings the next "school year," until finally they have either become "wheat" and fit into the "new order," or becomes the "chaff" that must be "burned up" or thrown into the discard by the operating Law.
KARMA
The teaching of the Karmic Law has been long and hotly debated. If the word "Karma" is construed to mean "causal sequence," it will be more readily understood. The laborer is compensated (paid) for his or her good work. The one who creates an indebtedness must pay, i.e., COMPENSATE the one to whom he is indebted. It implies the LAW OF PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY.
People are in bondage so long as they are in debt, whether this indebtedness is to others, evils within themselves, or wrongs committed against others. Any form of debt is an individual responsibility; a type of bondage; an enslaving chain, a prison without walls, and man CANNOT BE FREE until such indebtedness is paid to "the last farthing."
No one can pay this indebtedness for another. No one can be relieved by another. It is "Karma" because it follows one as does his shadow until he finally, by sorrow or suffering, awakens to his responsibility and willingly, even anxiously, assumes the indebtedness and pays, that is, FULLY compensates those to whom he is indebted.
OUR PURPOSE ON EARTH
An individual's duty is first of all to themselves BECAUSE EVERY INDIVIDUAL HAS THE SAME OPPORTUNITY. This duty is an obligation assumed by the Soul when born into this mundane sphere.
Before its incarnation, the Soul had no experience and knew neither love nor hate, neither good nor evil. Its only means of gaining knowledge and wisdom was incarnation (coming to earth and inhabiting a body); then reincarnating until its purpose, as implied by God's own statement, "And now the sons o f men have become the Sons of God, KNOWING GOOD AND EVIL," has been fulfilled.
The Soul must experience, must suffer in order to know Love and its opposite. It must free itself from the taint of hate and its attendant evils by replacing them with affection and Love, and in doing so, retain the wisdom gained and, by desire and effort, become the Son of God, i.e., BECOME God Like.
In the process of doing this, it is the Soul's duty to point out the way to others who are seeking for the Light, and to help them as far as possible without bringing evil upon itself.
LAW OF EXACT JUSTICE
This is likewise the Law of Compensation with the difference that person may willingly pay their indebtedness; material, moral and Spiritual. If an individual does not willingly do this, then the Law of Exact (exacting) Justice will begin to operate and take from them that which actually belongs to others.
This is the demand upon humans that they MUST pay to "the uttermost farthing" all that they are indebted for and cannot be free, economically, morally or Spiritually until they have so paid. Both the Law of Karma and Reincarnation are involved, otherwise there would be no future opportunity for man to retrieve his past.
THE LAW OF PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY
This can well be called the Law of Compensation. Each individual is personally responsible for their every thought, desire and act. A person's "good" thoughts, desires and acts, by the REaction of their action, compensate them. On the other hand, each person is held responsible for all thoughts, desires and acts that are not to another's welfare, and must pay, or compensate, for them. It is another application of the Law "As ye sow, so shall ye reap." No one can in the least evade their responsibility for their every action.
Most of the ills and evils in the world are due to an erroneous belief that some one else may, or will, pay for our misconduct. Each individual, and each for THEMSELVES and for others he has caused to do evil, MUST pay to the "uttermost farthing."
THE "DOOR" TO SPIRITUAL ATTAINMENT
Spiritual attainment is possible only by means of first awakening the mind, our concepts, to the fact that life on earth is actually only a minor part of life as a whole. WITHIN the earth life MUST be found another and a greater life, by the living of which man may attain, achieve and obtain all that is really worth while and lasting.
The Master Teacher, the Nazarene, was keenly aware of this, hence his positive instructions relative to the SECOND, or REBIRTH, in order to become conscious of the greater, inner life. This Second or Rebirth is the "door" to Spiritual Attainment.
MANY ARE CALLED, BUT FEW ARE CHOSEN. Those "called" have awakened to the fact that the material life is no more than a shadow of the real greater life. Each person must individually enter the path leading to this eternal life. Only those are "chosen" who continue in the path until they have Spiritually fully awakened. These are sowing the "wheat" and will reap wheat or BREAD OF LIFE. They are "Chosen" because they follow through and refuse to be tempted into sowing the "chaff" that is to be destroyed.
THE APPLICATION OF THE DIVINE LAW
In order to fulfill thier destiny an individual must gradually become fully familiar with the Divine Law and be willing, even anxious, to live within that Law. In doing so they will gradually attain to all that is real and lasting. It will not, and this is a point that bears repeating, be necessary for a person to deny themselves any good thing because both the Natural Law and the Law that controls the Physical, are aspects of the Divine Law.
Those who acts contrary to either a Natural or Physical Law likewise violates the Divine Law. In the Divine Law is found the only certain means to all that is good, desirable and beneficial to both body and Soul.
BASICALLY, The Church o f Illumination, as well as all of the Great Work, has in view only ONE aim: To TEACH AND GUIDE HUMANITY IN THE PATH LEADING THEM TO THE FULFILLMENT OF THEIR DESTINY; TO BRING INTO MANIFESTATION THEIR POTENTIALITIES AND POSSIBILITIES; TO ENABLE THEM TO MAKE FULL USE OF ALL THEIR "TALENTS" TO THE BENEFIT OF BOTH THEMSELVES AND OTHERS.
The Church o f Illumination does not "preach" in the usual sense of the term. IT INSTRUCTS IN THE LAW so that all people may live WITHIN the Law. It is POSITIVE in ALL ITS inculcations. It teaches POSITIVISM and INDIVIDUALISM. It denies that an individual was born to be one of a herd, and avers that they were born to transform the personality into an individuality; to change the mortal into Immortality.
This is a Divine Demand if one wishes to continue to live, to be of the "Wheat" and not of the "chaff" to be destroyed. This is made clear in God's, or the Divine Law's statement: "AND NOW THE SONS OF MEN HAVE BECOME AS THE SONS OF GOD......"
This BECOMING is impossible to those who relegate themselves to the herd or mass and remain as slaves to others, circumstances and environments, instead of attaining to Mastery.
According to the Divine Law, an individual's first duty is to themseelve and to those whose responsibility they has assumed; then, this having been accomplished, to the welfare of others; NOT in doing for them what they can and should do for themselves, but in showing them the way. No MAN CAN SAVE ANOTHER, but he CAN show another how to SAVE HIMSELF.
The teachings of the Church o f Illumination are known under the general title of Manistic Interpretation: Manisis, the recognition of the equality of man and woman, in harmony with the early Spiritual history of the civilization in Egypt.
These interpretations are in harmony with the New Age or "New Order" world cycle which began in the latter part of the past century, just as the Christic or Christian cycle began with the beginning of the Nazarene and his ministry.
THE TERM "Christic" or "Christian" is based on the word Christos, the Immortalization principle, or Divine Spark, which each normal individual receives from God at birth so that they may, by effort and the REbirth or Spiritual birth, change mortality into Immortality, the son of man or carnal self, into the Son of God, or Son of the Spirit.
This new age will continue for approximately two thousand years and is to be known as the Manistic age. During this new Manistic Age Revelation will become the UNSEALED book of the Bible. Each and every human creature will be judged by their SOWING, NOT THEIR PROFESSION OF FAITH. Every person will be a rider with either the WHITE horseman, a sower of "wheat," and be saved; or a rider with the RED horseman, a sower of "chaff" to be damned or, as Revelation tells us, destroyed by being burned up. In this age faith is essential as an urge to effort, but, ultimate Salvation is possible only by proper SOWING; by OBEDIENCE and FULFILLMENT OF THE LAW.
ADHERENCE TO THE CHURCH OF ILLUMINATION
Those willing to accept, and in daily life literally apply the FUNDAMENTALS as taught in this brochure, and by tithing to help in its support and the spread of the MANISTIC INTERPRETATION, become adherents to the CHURCH OF ILLU MINATION. It is of supreme importance that those sincerely interested in their own material and Spiritual welfare study such texts as those of ST. JOHN, ST. MATTHEW and TEACHINGS OF THE MASTERS that they may become fully conversant with THE DIVINE LAW.
WHAT IS TO BE YOUR DESTINY?
You alone must choose and be responsible for your choice. What is it to be? A MERE "HANGER-ON"?* a Will o' the Wisp blown hither and yon by every wind and at the command of every person's whim, or, THE FULFILLMENT OF YOUR DESTINY BY MEANS OF THE DEVELOPMENT AND MANIFESTATION OF THE "TALENTS" GOD GAVE YOU? A man or woman in the true sense of that word? AN INDIVIDUAL, not a mere person, one o f the mass? An humble but POSITIVE son or daughter of man BECOME-CHANGED INTO-A SON OR DAUGHTER OF GOD? By giving you Free Will, God placed the choice into your own Hand. WHAT WILL YOUR CHOICE BE?
* The Church of Illumination frowns on the use of slang, but in the present instance, there is no other term so descriptive and as applicable.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
It is the Eternal Law, the Law o f Exchange and the Law o f Compensation that SOMETHING CANNOT BE HAD FOR NOTHING. There must be EXCHANGE OR COMPENSATION. The oldest concept of such exchange-old as the Bible-is by Tithing. For centuries past this ancient universal practice of helping materially for things Spiritually received has been forgotten by all but the few. Within the past fifty years tithing has again come into general practice and the most successful individuals during these years have tithed regularly. Among them John D. Rockefeller; the founders of Heinz's Foods, Vick's Vaporub, Stanley Home Products, Quaker Oats and many others too numerous to mention. If these found it to their advantage to tithe, then it would be well for ALL SEEKING THEIR HIGHEST WELFARE TO DO LIKEWISE.
The Moslems have a proverb: "Prayer carries us halfway to God, fasting brings us to the door of His palace, and alms (tithes) gain us admission." It is not the tithing itself that RETURNS the benefit, but the SPIRIT IN ONE THAT INDUCES THEM TO DO SO. THE CHURCH OF ILLUMINATION is supported wholly by tithes.
